Data sources
Where the data comes from
TrueCAGR uses only public data published by the stock exchanges. This page lists each source, how often it is refreshed, and the gaps we know about — so you can judge how far to rely on a number.

Every company page shows the date its latest results were filed and the date of its latest price. A missed day is filled in on the next run. Annual history goes back to FY2019 where the filings are available. How the numbers are then checked and calculated is on the methodology page.
Known limitations
- Insurers. For HDFC Life, ICICI Lombard, LIC and SBI Life, financials start from FY2024-25: their earlier filings use a format the site does not read yet. Insurer-specific measures such as embedded value, value of new business and solvency are not yet shown for any insurer.
- Finance companies filing in the bank format. For L&T Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services and SBI Cards, bank-specific measures (net interest margin, NPA, CASA, cost to income) are not yet mapped, so those sections are thin.
- Bank asset quality. Banks often leave gross and net NPA out of their consolidated results, so these figures are shown only where the filing reports them; the standalone view usually has them.
- Recent listings and demergers. Companies listed or demerged recently have only one or two years of results — for example LG Electronics India, Lenskart, Meesho, Tata Capital, Swiggy and Hyundai Motor India. Their prices start at listing. Such pages are kept out of search engines until they have enough data.
- Prices. Past prices are adjusted for splits and bonuses, but not for rights issues, because the exchange's corporate-actions data does not include the subscription terms. Returns shown are price changes and do not include dividends.
- Change of financial year. When a company changes its year-end, the longer transition period (for example Nestle India's 15 months to March 2024, Siemens' 18 months to March 2026) appears in the full tables but is not compared with 12-month years.
- Missing years and quarters. A year or quarter whose filing cannot be read reliably is left blank rather than estimated, and growth rates use the actual years between the figures they compare.
If you spot a figure that does not match the filing, please report it.
